Welcome to ICCHP 26,
the 20th “International Conference on Computers Helping People with Special Needs”!

After the great success of our last in-person event, we are thrilled to continue the momentum and announce our 20th vibrant biennial conference — this time in the beautiful city of Brno, Czech Republic!

Since its inception in 1989, ICCHP has contributed significantly to research in fields such as accessibility, inclusion, eAccessibility, and assistive technology. Though times and technologies have changed, our mission remains steadfast:

To make ICT more accessible and to tailor assistive technologies and services that promote inclusion and full participation in all aspects of society.

Personally, my first ICCHP experience was in 2000 — over two decades ago. At that time, smartphones, social media, and practical artificial intelligence were non-existent. Since then, technology has evolved at an unprecedented pace.

Today, nearly everyone uses AI-driven apps and social networking services on their smartphones. Yet, ironically, many accessibility challenges persist — and in some cases, have become more complex.

This is why ICCHP remains more relevant than ever. It offers a unique platform for researchers, practitioners, and users to exchange ideas, tackle persistent barriers, and build meaningful human networks that often outvalue any algorithm.

We warmly invite you to join us in Brno for this special 20th edition of ICCHP. Come and share your work, grow your community, and contribute to the future of inclusive technology.

We look forward to your participation and contributions!
Come and get involved — develop your network!
